The Field Operations Apprentice (Installer) will have the enthusiasm to evolve into a licensed sign installer. The right candidate will be willing to be trained in all aspects of sign installation, maintenance, and repair.
Candidate will earn while they learn with a 2-year apprenticeship, classroom, and on-the-job training to be provided with immediate employment available in our Meridian, Idaho location. Prior electrical and construction experience is preferred but not required. Ideal candidates must be comfortable working from heights along with occasional overnight travel. This is a permanent full-time position.
Immediate raises will be given to employees upon completion of the following certifications.
- CDL Class A
- Crane Certified
- Electrical License- Idaho/Oregon
- AWS Certified Welder
Schedule: We have a Friday off every other week!
Long week: Monday - Friday 7:30am-4pm
Short week: Monday - Thursday 7:30am-5pm
Responsibilities
- Accurately uses measuring tape, and possess solid math skills
- Install illuminated signs and make electrical connection
- Uses safe methods when handling tools and equipment
- Assist journeyman in install
- Being able to work in the elements
- Keep record of work orders and times spent on each project
- Help load and unload material
- Maintain a neat, clean work area
- Occasional out of town/overnight travel
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- CDL (able to obtain a CDL within 12 months)
- Construction and electric experience preferred
- Ability to work from heights
- Clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Mechanical aptitude
- Effectively communicate orally and in writing, with good comprehension
- Willing to work overtime when needed
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
