We are seeking licensed Physicians - MDs or DOs - to provide patient care in a growing no-opioid pain management practice focused on patients recovering from automobile accidents.
Our clinics currently operate in Queens and the Bronx, with expansion underway into additional locations in Queens, the Bronx, Brooklyn, and Long Island. Each clinic is physician-led, with one physician on site at a time supported by Medical Assistants and front desk staff.
This is a strong opportunity for physicians who want a predictable clinic schedule, high-volume but organized patient flow, AI-supported documentation, and flexibility to work anywhere from 1 to 4 days per week (Monday through Thursday).
Spanish-speaking physicians are strongly preferred.
Schedule
Clinics operate on a 4-day workweek, creating a standard 3-day weekend schedule.
Physicians may work:
- 1 day per week;
- 2–3 days per week; or
- Up to 4 days per week, depending on availability and clinic needs.
Typical clinic day:
- Physician arrival: approximately 9:15 a.m.
- Patient start time: approximately 9:45 a.m.
- Anticipated clinic day: approximately 10 hours
Most clinics are currently open approximately 2 days per week, so physicians may be assigned to more than one clinic location during the week. We try to keep physicians assigned near their preferred geography, but occasional floating may be required for coverage.
Compensation
$1,500 per clinic day, based on an anticipated 10-hour clinic day.
Physicians are also eligible for productivity bonuses for patient volume above 22 patients per day.
Benefits, including 401(k) and health benefits, are available after the initial 90-day evaluation period, or upon hire if provided through a staffing agency.
Patient Volume and Practice Model
The clinics typically see approximately 15–30 patients per day.
This is a no-opioid pain clinic focused primarily on patients involved in automobile accidents. The physician conducts the patient examination, evaluates the patient’s condition, documents findings, and manages appropriate non-opioid treatment planning, referrals, and prescriptions through the practice’s software platforms.
Responsibilities
The Physician will be responsible for:
- Conducting patient examinations and clinical evaluations;
- Managing patients in a no-opioid pain management setting;
- Evaluating automobile accident-related injuries and pain complaints;
- Working efficiently with Medical Assistants and front desk staff to maintain patient flow;
- Reviewing and completing chart notes through the practice’s software platform;
- Reviewing and approving prescriptions, referrals, and follow-up recommendations as appropriate;
- Ensuring clinical documentation is accurate, complete, and timely;
- Communicating clearly and professionally with patients and staff;
- Supporting a respectful, organized, high-volume clinic environment;
- Floating to other clinic locations when reasonably needed for coverage.
Documentation Requirements
Chart notes and prescriptions are completed through the practice’s proprietary, patent-pending AI-supported software platform.
Physicians should generally have chart notes available to review by the end of each patient session. Notes can be reviewed between sessions, so post-clinical hours for charting are minimized. We support with human chart review before the physician does final sign-off. Completed notes are due within 24 hours of the shift start time, typically by the next morning.
Timely completion of documentation is required for payment processing and continued scheduling.
Qualifications
Required:
- MD or DO degree;
- Active and unrestricted license to practice medicine in New York;
- Current professional liability/malpractice insurance coverage required, including tail coverage or other acceptable prior-acts coverage where applicable.
- Ability to work in an outpatient clinical setting;
- Strong clinical judgment and documentation habits;
- Comfort using clinical software and EMR systems;
- Ability to manage a steady patient flow;
- Professional, patient-centered communication style.
- Desire and ability to lead a small clinic team, set a professional tone, support Medical Assistants during clinic flow, and help train new Medical Assistants and physicians on practice workflows.
Preferred:
- Spanish fluency or strong Spanish conversational ability is helpful in many clinics;
- Experience with automobile accident, no-fault, orthopedic, neurology, PM&R, pain management, family medicine, internal medicine, or urgent care patients;
- Experience in high-volume outpatient settings;
- Familiarity with injury documentation, referrals, and treatment planning.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal physician is clinically sharp, efficient, calm under volume, comfortable with technology, and able to work collaboratively with MAs and front desk staff.
Pay: $144,000.00 - $360,000.00 per year
