Position Summary
The Staff Accountant will support the day-to-day accounting operations for multiple companies within our organization. This role requires strong accounting knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts
- Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate financial records
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes
- Prepare monthly financial reports for management
- Reconcile inventory and assist with inventory accounting
- Maintain fixed asset schedules
- Prepare sales tax filings and assist with other tax reporting
- Support payroll processing and payroll reconciliations
- Work with external CPAs during audits and year-end tax preparation
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation
- Recommend process improvements and strengthen internal controls
- Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- 3–5 years of accounting experience required
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles
- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or other ERP systems
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail

- Sales and use tax reporting
