The Veterinary Hospital of Oak Ridge is looking for a motivated individual to join our team. We are a small animal, single doctor practice, looking for an experienced, upbeat, assistant. Our culture is upbeat and bubbly and we are looking for one more team member.
This is a closing position M-F and the employee will be scheduled for 4 full days and 1 half day (Wednesday afternoon) each week. The schedule is the same week to week with an exception when someone is on vacation and will average 37 to 39 hours.
Some job duties of this position:
- Patient restraint
- Daily care for boarding and hospitalized patients
- Venipuncture
- Lab sample collection and interpretation
- Radiology
- Client communication
- Creating and discussing estimates and treatment plans
- Typing medical records
- Hospital cleaning and upkeep.
Applicants who are experienced with surgical induction, intubation, dental prophy's, and reading urine, skin cytologies, & blood smears microscopically are eligible for the higher end of the pay range.
