Overview
This is a full-time, 40-hour per week, multi-tasking role that requires the ability to work independently and to think on your feet. The ideal candidate must have experience using QuickBooks Online, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and inventory control. In addition, must be proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word. The candidate must be a good communicator, detail-oriented, and have excellent organizational skills.
The Bookkeeper will maintain production paperwork and assist in communication with customers and vendors. This position will be responsible for placing Purchase Orders, receiving POs, paying bills, and organizing all items related to inventory. In addition, they will produce Excel reports related to production, expenses, and income. This position reports directly to the President and will provide weekly updates on accounts.
Responsibilities
- Prepare sales paperwork: e.g. quotes, sales orders, invoices, packing slips, etc.
- Send invoices to customers daily and follow up on payments.
- Manage Payroll, track vacation/sick time.
- Take inventory, order supplies, and follow up.
- Communicate with vendors to get the best pricing.
- Pay bills.
- Prepare reports for inventory and shipment projections.
- Maintain organized filing systems.
- Maintain cleanliness of office area.
- Proactively establish and maintain effective working team relationships with all support departments.
- Reception Duties including answering the phone and greeting customers
Skills
- Associates degreeor better in Accounting and or Business Administration
- 1-3 years' experience working with QuickBooks Online, Excel and Word.
- Experience with bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, general ledger reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation.
- Knowledge of GAAP standards.
- Ability to work efficiently with spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets) for data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with strong organizational skills; capable of managing multiple tasks accurately under deadlines.
- Familiarity with budgeting processes and financial concepts related to bookkeeping and accounting systems.

Pay: $29.00 - $31.00 per hour
