Harrisburg Mitsubishi is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Manager to oversee our service department and ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automotive service management, with a focus on team leadership, operational efficiency, and customer relations. Duties
- Manage the daily operations of the automotive service department, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery.
- Supervise and train service staff, providing guidance on best practices in automotive repair and customer service.
- Oversee service writing processes, ensuring accurate documentation of customer requests and services performed.
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate financial records for services rendered.
- Implement upselling strategies to maximize sales opportunities for additional services such as oil changes, shocks, struts, and diesel engine repairs.
- Maintain inventory levels of automotive parts and supplies, coordinating with suppliers as needed.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction and retention.
- Monitor performance metrics to identify areas for improvement within the service department.
Skills
- Proven experience in automotive service management with a strong understanding of automotive repair processes.
- Proficiency in sales techniques, including upselling and effective communication with customers regarding their vehicle needs.
- Knowledge of diesel engine repair is a plus, along with experience in shocks, struts, and general automotive repair.
- Strong cash handling skills with attention to detail in financial transactions.
- Excellent leadership abilities to motivate and develop team members effectively.
- Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of service quality.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while fostering positive relationships with customers and staff alike.
