Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Laborer with carpentry expertise to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be actively involved in a variety of hands-on tasks that support residential, commercial, and restoration projects. Responsibilities
- Assist with framing, trim carpentry, siding, roofing, and drywall installation to support project progression.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and CNC machinery safely and effectively to perform various carpentry tasks.
- Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute project specifications.
- Prepare surfaces by caulking, plastering, or applying stucco; install fixtures and cabinetry; hang doors and install flooring or tiles.
- Support concrete forming, rebar installation, masonry work, and water damage restoration efforts as needed.
- Perform heavy lifting and material handling while maintaining safety protocols on construction sites.
- Assist in fabrication, assembly, or remodeling projects by following detailed instructions and schematics.
Requirements
- Proven experience working on construction sites with knowledge of carpentry techniques such as frame carpentry, trim carpentry, metal stud framing, and roofing.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment like CNC machines for fabrication or assembly tasks.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Experience with construction estimating processes is a plus but not required.
- Knowledge of restoration industry practices including mold remediation and water damage restoration is advantageous.
- Capable of heavy lifting and performing physically demanding tasks safely throughout the workday.
- Familiarity with plumbing, electrical work, masonry, flooring installation, tile laying, or fixture installation is preferred.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures on construction sites; OSHA certification is a plus.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward learning new skills in remodeling or handyman services.
