PCH is a primary mental health treatment center that offers intensive treatment for a wide range of psychological issues. We are looking for a licensed therapist with experience in psychodynamic psychotherapy. The licensed clinician will be hired as an independent contractor and must be available to provide four individual sessions per week per client for a minimum of two clients. Applicants should possess good writing and organizational skills as well as in-depth knowledge of mental health conditions. Good boundaries and rapport with clients is a necessity.
Requirements:
● Master's or Greater: PsyD, PhD, LMFT or LCSW
● Must have a current license (Marriage/Family Therapist, Social Worker, or Psychologist) to provide psychotherapy in California
● 2+ years working with clients with severe or chronic mental health challenges
● Availability to work four days per week for two hours minimum per day
Duties and Responsibilities:
● Conduct individual therapy for a wide range of mental health issues
● Report to client’s Program Director for guidance on treatment planning and consultation
● Provides clinical progress notes in client’s electronic health record
● May be asked to attend clinical team meetings
● Assists with clinical assessment and treatment plan for assigned clients ● Participates in discharge planning
● Participates in multi-disciplinary treatment planning and updates for assigned clients
● Maintains ongoing communication with client’s Program Director
● May be asked to communicate with family/support system throughout duration of client’s treatment
● Participates in trainings and individual/group supervision meetings as recommended by the Clinical Director
