Rhode Island Nurseries is looking for a dependable, hardworking Wheel Loader Operator to join our Compost/Mulch/Yard waste team.
Starting Pay
$25.00-32.00 per hour
Schedule
- Monday–Friday
- 9-hour shifts
- Full-time, Seasonal
Responsibilities
- Operate a wheel loader safely and efficiently.
- Load customer vehicles, including pickup trucks, trailers, and large commercial trucks.
- Assist in the grinding and production of mulch.
- Help screen topsoil and compost.
- Assist customers with completing paperwork.
- Receive and process customer payments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe loading yard.
- Provide friendly, professional customer service.
- Follow all company safety procedures.
- Perform basic PM tasks as well as occasionally assist in repairs/breakdowns with mechanic.
Qualifications
- Experience operating a wheel loader is preferred.
- No Rhode Island Hoisting License required but preferred.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, Spanish a plus.
- Dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently.
- Willingness to assist with all aspects of the yard operation.
