Job Summary
The Sheeter Operator is responsible for setting up and operating the sheeter to produce high-quality paper according to production and quality standards. The role includes retrieving and inspecting paper rolls, completing machine setups and adjustments, performing quality checks throughout production, accurately labeling finished skids, and reporting mechanical or quality issues. The position requires strong attention to detail, good attendance, the ability to work independently, and the physical ability to handle heavy materials and operate a clamp truck.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up machine to correct size and operate
- Follow the sheeting order and “Sheeter Quality Control Guidelines”
- Retrieve & weigh paper rolls from warehouse
- Inspect paper rolls
- Remove wrapping and mount rolls to sheeter stand
- Inspect sheeting quality throughout the run and make adjustments.
- Work in other areas when needed or required by the Supervisor.
Qualifications and Experience
- Good attendance and reliability
- Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to read, write, count, and read a ruler
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to lift and handle heavy materials and equipment
- Ability to operate a clamp truck
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to perform minor machine adjustments
- Ability to identify and report quality or mechanical issues

Pay: $19.50 - $22.00 per hour
