The Lead Superintendent will have overall construction responsibilities for a ground-up podium multifamily project in San Diego, CA. The Superintendent will have a strong track record of completing Multifamily projects ensuring their successful delivery within schedule and budget along with the ability to manage vendors, subcontractors, and field staff throughout the project duration.
SELECT RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Completely review, coordinate, and implement the quality assurance program developed for the project
- Monitor project labor productivity and material quantity requirements
- Maintain project plans, communication, correspondence and subcontracts
- Review, coordinate and implement the safety measures and applicable company programs & OSHA standards
- Review project punch list and oversee completion of all project disciplines necessary to receive a certificate of occupancy
- Review the Building Specification to confirm material, subcontractor, and equipment criteria and identify potential project document conflict
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS
- 15+ years of building construction experience, including 5+ years supervising all phases of ground-up multi-family residential projects
- Experience with Type III & IV multifamily residential construction
- Extensive knowledge of construction scheduling, line and grade (survey), shoring, mass excavation, concrete, steel and wood structural systems, building envelope, MEP systems, and core engineering principles and techniques
- Strong working knowledge of construction methods, materials, installation procedures, and tolerances
- Proven management, leadership, and interpersonal skills that build strong, coordinated teams
- Expertise in planning, directing, and coordinating trades
- Knowledge of San Diego trades and the local permit process a plus
- Prefabricated/modular construction experience a plus
- Solid computer skills including MS Office and Microsoft Project
