We are looking for a dependable, quality-driven Cook to help bring our menu to life night after night.
The Role
As a Cook at Firelake Bar + Grill, you are at the heart of the guest experience. You will prepare and plate our menu to standard, keep your station clean and stocked, and deliver consistent, quality food that keeps guests coming back. Your speed, care, and consistency set the tone for every evening service.
What You Will Do
- Prepare, cook, and plate menu items to recipe and presentation standards.
- Set up, stock, and break down your station before, during, and after each shift.
- Maintain quality and consistency during dinner service, working efficiently under pressure.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and handling standards to keep guests and associates safe.
- Manage prep, portioning, and storage to control quality and reduce waste.
- Communicate and coordinate with kitchen, bar, and service teams to keep service seamless.
- Keep the kitchen and equipment clean, organized, and in good working order.
What You Bring
- Prior cook or line cook experience is preferred; we are happy to train the right candidate.
- A commitment to quality, consistency, and cleanliness.
- The ability to stay calm, organized, and efficient during a busy dinner service.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices; a ServSafe or food handler certification is a plus.
- Reliability and availability to work the Tuesday through Saturday evening schedule.
- Comfort with the physical nature of the role, including standing for extended periods, lifting, and working around heat.
Schedule and Availability
This is a full-time position, Tuesday through Saturday, 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Our dining room serves guests from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with time before and after service for prep, setup, and cleanup.
