You arrive on site and kick off with a focused safety briefing. You walk the work area, verify permits, and confirm PPE compliance before reviewing the day’s plan with Journeymen, Top Helpers, and Helpers. With drawings, specs, and schedules in hand, you assign tasks, stage materials, and coordinate with project management and other trades so conduit runs, MCC terminations, motor control wiring, and 480V power distribution progress smoothly.
As the day unfolds, you ensure every installation aligns with NEC, OSHA, and client requirements. You step in to troubleshoot an industrial control circuit, realign manpower to hit milestones, and communicate updates to client representatives. You keep tabs on productivity, manpower, and material usage, maintain organized documentation, and capture field notes for reporting. Before closeout, you mentor a junior team member through a conduit layout, verify housekeeping, and log any incidents, near misses, or safety concerns immediately.
