Duties
- Lead daily classroom activities focused on infant care, including feeding, diapering, tummy time, and sensory exploration
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote early childhood development milestones
- Foster a safe, nurturing environment that encourages curiosity, socialization, and emotional security
- Monitor and document each child's progress, behaviors, and developmental achievements regularly
- Collaborate with families through ongoing communication about their child's needs, milestones, and daily experiences
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including first aid procedures and sanitation standards
- Manage classroom routines efficiently while maintaining a positive atmosphere that supports learning through play
Skills
- Proven experience working with infants in daycare or preschool settings, demonstrating strong classroom management skills
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education
- Certification in first aid and CPR; additional certifications in special education or working with individuals with disabilities are a plus
- Ability to implement behavior management strategies that foster positive interactions among children
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members effectively
- Experience with caregiving tasks such as diapering, feeding, toddler care, and developmental assessments
- Strong organizational skills to manage classroom activities, documentation, and safety protocols efficiently
