Job Overview
GCM Construction is seeking a Commercial Superintendent to lead day-to-day field operations on local commercial construction projects. This role is responsible for coordinating subcontractors, managing schedules, maintaining safety and quality, and communicating directly with Project Managers and ownership.
This position is intended for candidates with commercial construction experience who can run work independently and do not require day-to-day hand holding.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily operations on active commercial job sites
- Coordinate subcontractors, inspections, and deliveries
- Maintain jobsite safety, cleanliness, and organization
- Manage schedules in coordination with the Project Manager
- Communicate daily progress and resolve issues proactively
- Complete daily logs, progress photos, and documentation
- Coordinate RFIs and change orders
- Ensure work meets plans, specifications, codes, and quality standards
Qualifications
- 3+ years of construction supervision experience
- Commercial construction experience required
- Ability to read and interpret plans and schedules
- Strong subcontractor coordination and communication skills
- Organized, proactive, and solutions-oriented
- Proficiency with basic construction software and mobile tools
- Valid driver’s license
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary $70,000 – $90,000 DOE
