Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of linens and garments in our facility. This position is essential in ensuring that all items are laundered, pressed, and delivered to the highest standards, contributing to the overall guest experience in our hotel environment.
Responsibilities
- Launder and clean various types of linens using appropriate washing techniques and equipment.
- Operate washing machines, dryers, and other laundry equipment efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Sort, fold, and organize clean laundry items for easy access and distribution.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area to promote a safe working environment.
- Monitor inventory levels of laundry supplies and report any shortages or maintenance needs.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of laundry tasks to meet operational demands.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role, preferably within a hotel setting, is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of laundering techniques, including dry cleaning processes.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks such as lifting and moving laundry items.
