Role Summary
Provides fast, accurate, and friendly service at checkout to form a strong last impression on the customer. Ensures all transactions are handled efficiently and supports smooth front-end operations.
Responsibilities
Customer Service

Greet every customer in a friendly and professional manner.

Answer questions about products, promotions, and store services.

Maintain a helpful, respectful, and solution-oriented attitude.

Promote the customer loyalty program and assist with sign-ups.
Transaction Processing

Scan items quickly and accurately for purchase.

Handle cash, credit, debit, and EBT transactions with accuracy.

Issue correct change and receipts to customers.

Follow all company cash-handling and register-balancing procedures.
Maintenance & Safety

Keep register area clean, organized, and stocked with supplies (bags, receipt paper, sanitizer, etc.).

Remain attentive at the register to deter theft or loss.

Report equipment or safety issues promptly to a supervisor.

Follow all store policies for safety, cleanliness, and conduct.
Qualifications

Friendly and reliable with strong attention to detail.

Basic math and computer skills.

Ability to stand for extended periods and handle moderate physical activity, including lifting up to 25 lbs.

Prior retail or customer service experience preferred.
