Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Automation Control Panel and Machine Builder who can hit the ground running. This is a hands-on role focused on fabricating, wiring, and assembling high-quality industrial control panels and machinery.
Note: We are looking for a skilled professional who requires minimal training and is ready to start building on day one.
Key Responsibilities
- Control Panel Fabrication: Wire, layout, and assemble industrial control panels from scratch based on electrical schematics and blueprints.
- Machine Building: Integrate electrical systems with mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components to build custom automation machinery.
- Component Installation: Mount components (PLCs, VFDs, relays, transformers, switches, and terminal blocks) neatly and efficiently into enclosures.
- Quality & Testing: Ensure all wiring is clean, organized, properly labeled, and meets industry standards. Perform point-to-point continuity testing prior to inspection.
- Collaboration: Work alongside our engineering and build teams to troubleshoot design adjustments and ensure projects are completed on schedule.
Qualifications & Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Minimum of 4 years of direct, hands-on experience building industrial control panels and machines.
- OR A degree/certification in Automation and Controls, Mechatronics, or a closely related field. Plus at least one year of hands-on experience building industrial control panels and machines.
Core Requirements:
- Primary Job Experience: Your recent or primary professional experience must be heavily focused on building control panels.
- Schematic Literacy: Ability to read and flawlessly interpret complex electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical blueprints.
- Tool Proficiency: Expert use of hand tools, power tools, wire strippers, crimpers, and electrical testing equipment (multimeters).
- Autonomy: Ability to manage your build station with minimal supervision and high attention to detail.
