American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department night shift position requiring a VA or compact RN license and at least 1 year of ED experience.

Non-trauma general Emergency Department serving combined adult and pediatric patients
-
Night shift, 3x12 hours, 1900-0700
-
Every other weekend required
-
Meditech charting system preferred
-
Active VA or compact RN license required
-
Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department experience required

Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, CPI, NIHSS, and PALS (TNCC preferred)

Skilled in IV therapy/phlebotomy, blood product administration, EKG reading/monitoring, and CVA care
-
Proficient in triage and maintaining PPE/isolation precautions

Meditech charting experience preferred

Provide emergency care to critically ill and injured patients in a fast-paced ED setting

Work alongside specially-trained emergency physicians and nursing staff

Facility features private treatment rooms and advanced monitoring equipment

Fit testing required, and candidates must be clean-shaven or provide an approved medical exemption letter prior to starting

Zero-tolerance drug policy in effect; medical marijuana cards not accepted

Holiday coverage expectations scale with the number of holidays occurring during the assignment

Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted

Candidates who previously worked a permanent role at the facility within the last 24 months are not eligible
