Maintenance Mechanic
Milwaukee, WI | $18-$25/hour (Based on shift and experience)
Monday-Friday | 8:00am – 4:30pm
Monday-Friday | 3:30pm to 12:00am
- Overtime possible and mandatory
- Daily attendance is very important
Maintenance Mechanic Requirements
- 2+ years of maintenance mechanic or industrial maintenance experience
- Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting experience
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and equipment manuals
- Experience with machine repair, installation, and preventative maintenance
- Knowledge of wiring systems, electrical hookup, and machine rewiring
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Strong understanding of machine components, calibration, and repair procedures
About the Maintenance Mechanic Role
As a Maintenance Mechanic, your responsibilities will include:
- Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance, installation, and repair of machinery and building equipment
- Hook up electrical wiring to machines and rewire equipment according to specifications
- Inspect, test, and adjust machinery to ensure proper functionality and safety
- Replace, repair, and calibrate machine components on a routine basis
- Conduct preventative maintenance and document all inspections and repairs
- Respond to maintenance requests, safety issues, and equipment breakdowns
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, manuals, and technical specifications
- Disassemble equipment using hand and power tools for repair and inspection
- Identify damaged parts and determine appropriate repair or replacement methods
- Install structural and functional machine components as required
- Reassemble equipment and test performance after repairs or installation
- Set up and wire new machinery systems
