About the Role
We are seeking a strategic, results-driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive leadership team. The CFO will provide financial leadership and strategic direction for the organization, ensuring long-term financial health while supporting continued growth and operational excellence. This executive will oversee all financial functions, develop business strategies, optimize financial performance, and serve as a trusted advisor to ownership and senior leadership. The ideal candidate is an experienced financial leader with a strong background in manufacturing, exceptional business acumen, and a collaborative leadership style.
Primary Responsibilities

Develop and execute the company's financial strategy in alignment with organizational goals and long-term growth initiatives.

Provide strategic financial guidance to ownership and executive leadership, supporting key business decisions and investment opportunities.

Oversee all accounting, finance, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, tax, and financial reporting functions.

Ensure the accuracy and integrity of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.

Lead the annual budgeting process and rolling financial forecasts in collaboration with department leaders.

Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), financial metrics, and benchmarks to evaluate company performance and profitability.

Manage cash flow, working capital, banking relationships, financing activities, and capital planning.

Establish and maintain effective internal controls, financial policies, and risk management practices.

Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal financial regulations, reporting requirements, and tax obligations.

Oversee internal and external audits and serve as the primary financial contact for auditors, financial institutions, and outside advisors.

Evaluate business performance and identify opportunities to improve profitability, operational efficiency, and cost management.

Partner with operations and manufacturing leadership to strengthen cost accounting, inventory controls, and profitability analysis.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including financial systems, ERP optimization, reporting automation, and process enhancements.

Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting and finance team while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Present financial results, forecasts, and strategic recommendations to ownership and executive leadership.

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field required; MBA and/or CPA designation strongly preferred.

10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, including experience as a CFO, Vice President of Finance, Corporate Controller, or similar executive role.

Significant experience in manufacturing, distribution, or industrial environments.

Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury management, and tax compliance.

Demonstrated experience with ERP systems and financial reporting technologies.

Proven ability to develop financial strategies that drive business growth and operational performance.

Strong analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights.
