What You'll Do
-
Develops and implements a comprehensive curriculum to promote learning and growth
-
Creates a safe, nurturing, and healthy learning environment
-
Supervises daily activities and ensures the well-being of children in their care
-
Supports diverse classrooms, roles, and age groups
-
Observes and assesses children's development to inform teaching practices
-
Establishes and maintains positive relationships with families and communicates effectively with them
-
Conducts regular parent/teacher conferences and sets developmentally appropriate expectations
-
Consistently exhibits a warm and supportive attitude towards children and adapts to changes in the program
-
Performs other duties as required to ensure the smooth operation of the program

Collaborates with colleagues to maintain a positive work environment
Requirements
-
Able to consistently work on a set schedule from Monday – Friday, 8 hours plus 1 lunch hour, all year-round

Has a passion for working with children!

Has a positive attitude and reliable work ethic

Able to pass a background check
-
At least 18 years old
-
High School Diploma or GED
-
Has the physical ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodations.

Positive role model
-
Registry of Wisconsin certificate or ability to become lead teacher certified is required (we provide all materials to reach lead teacher certification).
-
15 hours of training in infant and toddler care for teachers assigned to this age group. Must be completed within 6 months after assuming the position.

Able to meet or exceed the qualifications for an Early Childhood Teacher

Communication skills

CPR/AED First Aid certified within the first 3 months

Able to develop and implement the school's curriculum to foster the love of learning

Lifts children and/or equipment
-
Bends, sits on the floor, and stands for extended periods of time

Meets or exceeds the qualifications for an Early Childhood Teacher

Has previous experience in the early childcare field

Infant and Toddler certified

CPR/First Aid, Abusive Head Trauma, and Child Abuse and Neglect and SIDS trainings completed

Pyramid model, WMLES, Strengthening families trainings completed
