Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Facility Maintenance Technician to ensure the optimal operation, safety, and upkeep of our contracted facilities. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues, and implementing repairs across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural systems. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for staff and visitors alike. Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems including electrical, mechanical, plumbing.
- Troubleshoot and repair issues.
- painting as needed to maintain facility aesthetics and safety standards.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and manage inventory.
- Supervise or assist with facilities maintenance projects, ensuring safety compliance and quality standards are met.
- Lead or support team efforts
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal client needs promptly and professionally.
- Assist in supervising maintenance staff or contractors during large projects or routine tasks.
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a similar role within manufacturing or commercial buildings
- Mechanical knowledge with skills in, plumbing, HVAC systems, and general building repairs.
- Familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Experience working with CMMS software for work order management and record keeping.
- Supervising or leadership experience is preferred to coordinate team efforts effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and teamwork collaboration.
- Ability to interpret technical diagrams and schematics accurately to perform repairs efficiently.
