We are seeking a motivated and dependable Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our maintenance team. This position is ideal for someone who is eager to learn the repair and maintenance of heavy construction and industrial equipment under the guidance of experienced mechanics. The candidate will gain hands-on experience diagnosing, servicing, and repairing a variety of diesel-powered equipment while developing the skills necessary for a successful career as a heavy equipment mechanic.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist experienced mechanics with preventative maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment.
- Perform routine inspections, lubrication, fluid changes, and filter replacements.
- Learn to diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine-related issues.
- Assist with repairing and replacing components such as brakes, bearings, hoses, cylinders, pumps, and undercarriage parts.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Properly use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and shop equipment.
- Complete maintenance records and work orders accurately.
- Follow all company safety policies and MSHA regulations.
- Participate in on-the-job training and any required technical education.
- Other duties as necessary.
Pay: From $30.00 per hour
