Genesis Medical Detox is looking for a Behavioral Health Tech for Day Shift. We desire candidates that are comfortable working with those struggling with addiction and other mental health disorders. Strong interpersonal skills are needed. This is a great opportunity for those interested in the Behavioral Health/ Addiction/Psychology field.
Shifts:
Day Shift: Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
Job Duties include but not limited to:
- Works daily with patients to provide support, encouragement, and guidance
- Documents patient information and notifies supervisor or medical if crisis/emergencies arise
- Assists in emergency situations as directed
- Understands and maintains confidentiality of patient information and records
- Recognizes crisis situations and provides appropriate interventions based on training and experience.
- Serves as client advocate; establishes rapport; is aware of and respects the rights and dignity of all clients.
- Provides transportation for clients to and from facility with company vehicle.
- Possesses a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record to be added to company insurance policy. Auto insurance requires driver to be 21 years of age or older to be eligible.
- Facilitate educational groups
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED (documentation must be provided)
- Driver's License is required for this position
- Eligible for company auto insurance: Auto insurance requires driver to be 21 years of age or older to be eligible.
