American Traveler seeks a Speech Pathologist for an acute care hospital setting, requiring a Master's degree and acute care experience.

Acute care hospital setting within a 254-bed facility
-
Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm
-
Occasional weekend shift required
-
Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Speech-Language Pathology required
-
Two years of speech-language pathology experience preferred
-
Acute care experience required
-
Speech Pathologist license in state of practice required, if applicable

CPR or BLS certification from an approved vendor required
-
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred

Provides diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative services to patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders

Reviews patient information prior to and throughout course of treatment
-
Conducts and documents comprehensive patient assessments
-
Assists in data collection of patient outcomes
-
Instructs and directs support staff in accordance with national and state Practice Acts
-
Supervises assistants and support staff
-
Serves as an integral member of the interdisciplinary care team

Adheres to state and federal regulatory license, certification, and accrediting requirements
