Position: Housekeeping Aide
Long Term Care Facility
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various settings such as hotels, hospitals, and residential properties. Your attention to detail and strong work ethic will contribute to creating a pleasant and sanitary environment for our guests and residents.
Duties:
- Clean and sanitize designated areas, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas
- Dust furniture, vacuum carpets, and mop floors to maintain a clean and tidy appearance
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners as needed
- Restock supplies such as toiletries, towels, and linens
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel
- Follow established cleaning procedures and protocols to ensure consistent quality
- Adhere to health and safety regulations while performing duties
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor
Experience:
- Previous experience in housekeeping or custodial work is preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment is a plus
- Familiarity with hospitality industry standards is beneficial
- Experience in housekeeping management or industrial cleaning is an advantage
- Ability to operate floor care equipment (e.g., vacuum cleaners, carpet cleaners) is desirable
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain cleanliness standards
- Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently
- Good physical stamina to handle repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects if required
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team depending on the setting
- Effective communication skills to interact with colleagues and clients
