Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to animals in our facility. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals and experience in handling various breeds and sizes. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of the pets in our care while maintaining a clean and organized environment.
Duties
- Provide daily care for dogs including feeding, administering medication and exercising.
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels and play areas by regularly cleaning and sanitizing.
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals.
- Support pet training initiatives by reinforcing positive behaviors during playtime.
- Engage with pet owners to provide updates on their pets’ activities and well-being.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed to protect both animals and staff.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in dog handling or animal care is preferred but not required.
- Ability to handle various breeds safely and effectively.
- Strong communication skills to interact with pet owners and team members.
- A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their welfare.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
