Key Responsibilities1. Checkout & Transaction Processing
- Process customer purchases accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Handle cash, credit cards, debit cards, gift cards, and digital payment methods.
- Issue receipts, refunds, exchanges, and returns according to company policies.
- Maintain an accurate cash drawer and balance transactions at the end of each shift.
2. Customer Service & Support
- Greet customers warmly and provide a positive shopping experience.
- Answer customer questions regarding products, promotions, pricing, and store policies.
- Resolve customer concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
- Assist customers with locating products and directing them to the appropriate departments.
3. Store Operations & Team Support
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional checkout area.
- Assist with restocking merchandise and front-end displays as needed.
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure efficient store operations.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and cash-handling guidelines.
Qualifications
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Basic math skills and cash-handling experience preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.
- Previous cashier, retail, or customer service experience is a plus, but not required. We provide training.
