Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Azure Infrastructure Architect with Terraform certification to lead the design, implementation, and management of cloud infrastructure solutions. Responsibilities
- Design and develop comprehensive cloud architecture solutions utilizing Azure services, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to automate deployment processes across multiple cloud platforms, including Azure and other public clouds like AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
- Lead cloud migration projects by assessing existing systems such as VMware, OpenStack, or Rackspace environments and developing strategies for seamless transition to Azure or hybrid cloud configurations.
- Develop scalable systems leveraging virtualized environments, containerization systems like Docker and Kubernetes, and microservices architectures to enhance system agility and resilience.
- Ensure robust cloud security by implementing identity and access management (IAM) solutions, network security measures such as VPNs and Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), and compliance standards including FedRAMP.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design web services and RESTful APIs that support enterprise applications while maintaining high availability and performance.
- Automate deployment pipelines using DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, PowerShell, Bash scripting, and CI/CD methodologies to streamline software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in solution architecture with a strong understanding of service-oriented architecture (SOA), distributed systems, and cloud-native design principles.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Azure cloud platform including Azure Virtual Machines, Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), PaaS offerings, and Azure-specific security features.
- Certification in Terraform is required; additional certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or AWS Certified Solutions Architect are highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies including VMware, OpenStack, Rackspace Cloud, Citrix systems, and virtualization platforms like Hyper-V or KVM.
- Familiarity with open-source tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef for configuration management and automation across diverse environments.
- Experience working on large-scale cloud infrastructure implementation projects involving IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service), SaaS (Software as a Service), PaaS (Platform as a Service), and hybrid solutions.
- Proficiency in scripting languages including Python, PowerShell, Bash for automation tasks; knowledge of programming languages like JavaScript or Java is a plus.
- Deep understanding of cloud security standards including FedRAMP compliance, IAM solutions, VPN configurations, and network security protocols.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to design scalable systems that support high availability and disaster recovery strategies.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate technical concepts clearly across teams; experience working within Agile methodologies is preferred.
