It produces Oregon craft sake under the Momokawa, Moonstone, Naginata, Yomi and G brands; and imports fine Japanese sake under the Hakutsuru, Murai Family, Kasumi Tsuru, Kibo, and Yoshinogawa brands. Its products are distributed throughout key markets in North America, South America, and the Caribbean islands.
Job Title: Sake Brewing Associate 1
We are looking for a person to fill an integral position on our brewing team. This team member will hook up hoses, sanitize tanks pumps and hoses, assist Brewers with brewing tasks, keep the brewing areas tidy and clean, and help with other brewery tasks as needed. To accomplish this takes stairs, ladders, standing, stooping, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds. This is an indoor job with cool tank rooms and warm Koji rooms.
Duties & Responsibilities:
-Keeping brewing areas and equipment (machinery and tanks) tidy and clean
- Clean, Sanitize Tanks and Tank Parts
- Clean, Sanitize Koji Room Equipment (Cloth, Koji Machine)
- Basic Clean Process (Sweep, Mopping Floor etc.)
-Hooking up hoses and sanitizing tanks, pumps and hoses
-Rice Steaming Process
Job Requirements:
- High school graduate or GED equivalent
- Certified forklift driver a plus
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
- Able to walk, stand and sit for prolonged periods of time and work on a platform 25 feet high
- Good verbal and written English
- Experience at a beverage or food plant with pumps, hoses and tanks
- Experience with sanitation, chemicals and a pressure washer
- Able to work in a group and also independently
- Able to work in a loud work environment
- Good organization skills and attention to detail
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships
Workdays: Monday - Friday, and rotating Saturday/Sunday Shifts (shift length 1.5 hrs to 3 hrs)
Work Hours: 6/6:30 am – 3:00 pm
