Overview
The Housekeeper plays a vital role in creating a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for guests. This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of guest rooms and public areas while upholding the resort’s standards of quality, safety, and hospitality. A successful housekeeper is detail-oriented, efficient, and committed to providing excellent guest service.
Duties
- Clean and service guest rooms daily, including making beds, changing linens, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing bathrooms
- Replenish guest room supplies such as towels, toiletries, coffee, and amenities
- Inspect rooms for cleanliness, maintenance issues, or safety concerns and report findings promptly
- Clean and maintain public areas, including hallways, lobbies, stairwells, and restrooms as assigned
- Follow proper cleaning procedures and use chemicals safely according to hotel and health guidelines
- Handle guest requests courteously and professionally, ensuring a positive guest experience
- Work efficiently to meet daily room quotas and time standards
- Collaborate with supervisors and other departments to ensure smooth operations
Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping or hospitality experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks throughout a shift
- Friendly, professional attitude with a guest-focused mindset
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays
Pay: From $13.00 per hour
