Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, utilizing applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques to promote positive behavioral changes. This role is essential in providing support, teaching skills, and assisting with daily living activities (ADLs) to enhance the quality of life for our clients.
Duties
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Assist clients with daily living activities (ADLs) to foster independence and improve quality of life.
- Collect and record data on client behaviors and progress towards goals, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in line with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide support and guidance to clients with autism and other developmental disabilities, employing effective behavior management strategies.
- Teach social skills, communication techniques, and coping strategies to enhance client interactions and overall functioning.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, including care plans and medical records, while adhering to medical terminology standards.
- Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals in the development of comprehensive behavioral health strategies.
Skills
- Strong understanding of behavioral therapy principles and techniques.
- Experience working with children, particularly those with autism or developmental disabilities.
- Proficiency in applied behavior analysis methodologies.
- Ability to assist with ADLs while promoting independence among clients.
- Knowledge of special education practices and patient care standards.
- Familiarity with data collection methods relevant to behavioral health assessments.
- Excellent communication skills for teaching concepts effectively to clients and their families.
