Job Summary
We are looking for an Orthodontic Dental Assistant to join our well respected and established orthodontic practice where your expertise will help transform smiles and boost confidence! Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following infection control protocols using aseptic techniques.
- Assist orthodontist during procedures such as bracket placement, wire adjustments, and appliance fittings with precision and efficiency.
- Take digital radiographs (X-rays) and utilize 3D scanners for accurate diagnostics and treatment planning.
- Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients on orthodontic care, including appliance maintenance, oral hygiene practices, and post-treatment instructions.
Skills
- Experience with chairside assisting in orthodontics is highly desirable, but not required
- Knowledge of infection control standards, and aseptic techniques.
- Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners accurately.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security at all times.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members such as dental receptionists and other clinical staff.
- Most importantly- a great positive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow is required!
Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
