Job Summary:
Overview:
As a Sorority House Director, you will play a pivotal role in creating a positive and nurturing environment within our sorority house. You'll be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the house, fostering a sense of community among members, and ensuring that the house is a safe and welcoming space for all members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Residential Management: Manage all aspects of the sorority house, including room assignments, maintenance requests, and ensuring that the house is clean and well-maintained at all times.
- Community Building: Foster a sense of community among residents by facilitating communication between members, and promoting a culture of inclusivity and respect.
- Conflict Resolution: Act as a mediator in resolving conflicts and promoting open communication and understanding to maintain a harmonious living environment.
- Safety and Security: Ensure the safety and security of residents by enforcing house rules, coordinating emergency procedures, and addressing any safety concerns promptly.
- Administrative Duties: Manage administrative tasks such as budgeting, record-keeping, and reporting to relevant stakeholders, ensuring that the house operates efficiently and effectively.
- Advisory Role: Serve as an advisor and mentor to residents, offering guidance on personal and academic matters, and supporting their overall well-being and success.
Qualifications:
- House Director must be onsite seven days a week during mandatory hours unless prior arrangements have been confirmed.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (such as education, social work, or hospitality management) preferred.
- Previous experience in residential management, student affairs, or a related field is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively with diverse groups of people.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- Knowledge of relevant safety and security protocols, as well as an understanding of legal and ethical considerations in residential settings.
- A commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive community culture, with a passion for supporting the personal and academic development of young adults.
Additional Information:
- Dedicated living space inside the chapter house is provided, including a private bathroom.
- This position may require evening and weekend availability, as well as being on-call for emergencies.

- Compensation and benefits will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $34,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
