Siemens Financial Services, the financing division of Siemens AG, is a well-established provider of debt and equity capital through sponsor and corporate channels. We are actively seeking a seasoned credit professional to evaluate and manage Venture Debt investments supporting growth-stage, high potential companies. Additional responsibilities include providing strategic leadership and supporting Venture Debt portfolio companies. Venture Debt is a new product offering for Siemens Financial Services. As such, you will be a founding Venture Debt team member and play a pivotal role in the growth and success of the Venture Debt business. The ideal candidate will have direct experience underwriting Venture Debt transactions and an extensive network within the Venture Debt or Venture Capital communities. This Venture Debt strategy will leverage the technological expertise of the broader Siemens AG ecosystem.
As the risk leader of the deal team, you will be responsible for executing financing opportunities including the financial modeling, underwriting, credit approval, documentation and closing processes. The candidate will be responsible for account management activities and will be instrumental in the development of strategy within this business segment.
This position is a hybrid role. Qualifies candidates can reside in the following cities Malvern, PA or New York, NY.

Responsibilities:
- Deal Evaluation:
- Proactively identify and evaluate investment opportunities that align with the firm's investment strategy and thesis.
- Conduct comprehensive due diligence, including financial analysis, market research, and competitive landscape assessment.
- Assess potential risks and opportunities associated with prospective investments.
- Investment Execution:
- Lead and manage the entire investment process from initial screening to transaction execution.
- Prepare detailed investment memos, presentations, and financial models for investment committee review.
- Structure and negotiate investment terms, collaborating closely with both internal and external legal counsel.
- Develop a coherent investment rationale and presentation of the ultimate credit approval request.
- Portfolio Management:
- Actively monitor and manage portfolio companies, providing strategic guidance and operational support as needed.
- Track portfolio performance metrics, identify key growth drivers, and implement value creation initiatives.
- Facilitate portfolio company interactions with external stakeholders, including customers, partners, and industry experts.
- Maintain regular contact with both internal and external teams to ensure a smooth execution to maximize recovery. Internal teams will include accounting, loan operations, risk controlling and legal. External teams will include outside counsel and financial advisors.
- Industry Leadership:
- Stay abreast of industry trends, market developments, and emerging technologies within the venture capital ecosystem.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with entrepreneurs, industry leaders, and co-investors to enhance deal flow and partnership opportunities.
- Represent the firm at industry conferences, networking events, and thought leadership forums.
- Team Collaboration and Mentorship:
- Collaborate effectively with senior partners and investment team members to formulate and execute investment strategies.
- Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the firm.
- Ensure compliance with Siemens internal reporting requirements
Requirements are:
Basic
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
- Proven track record of 7+ years in venture debt or a related field, with demonstrated success in executing investments.
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills, with the ability to assess complex investment opportunities and make informed decisions.
- Willingness to travel

- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate investment theses and influence stakeholders effectively.
- Strategic thinker with a deep understanding of technology, innovation, and market dynamics across various sectors.
