Build technology that helps families.
Protech Solutions Inc. is looking for a strong, hands-on Project Manager to join our team in Columbia, South Carolina and help lead our South Carolina Child Support project.
This is a great opportunity for someone who loves bringing order to complexity, working with smart cross-functional teams, and delivering technology that has a real-world impact. Our work sits at the intersection of GovTech, human services, and social impact. We build and support systems that help government agencies serve families, children, and communities more effectively.
We are looking for someone with deep project management experience who can keep teams aligned, communicate clearly with stakeholders, and drive delivery with confidence. Experience with child support programs or systems is a big plus, but strong project leadership is the most important requirement.

You will bring structure, momentum, and accountability to the project while ensuring the team stays focused on quality delivery and client success.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead day-to-day project management activities for the South Carolina Child Support project
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, status reports, RAID logs, and executive updates
- Track deliverables, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, and action items
- Facilitate meetings with client stakeholders, internal teams, and external partners
- Coordinate across business, technical, QA, implementation, and support teams
- Communicate project status clearly and proactively to leadership and stakeholders
- Identify risks early and drive practical mitigation plans
- Support implementation planning, change management, and operational readiness
- Help maintain strong client relationships through responsiveness, professionalism, and follow-through
- Ensure project documentation is accurate, useful, and up to date
What We’re Looking For
- Strong project management experience, ideally in technology, public sector, enterprise systems, or government programs
- Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple workstreams and stakeholders
- Excellent communication, facilitation, organization, and follow-up skills
- Experience managing scope, schedule, risks, issues, and deliverables
- Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Confidence leading meetings, resolving blockers, and keeping teams moving
- Ability to work in person in Columbia, South Carolina
Bonus Points For
- Experience with child support programs, systems, or policy
- Experience with Health and Human Services or state government projects
- PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, or similar certification
- Experience with system modernization, implementation, testing, data conversion, or production support
- Familiarity with Agile, hybrid, or waterfall delivery approaches
