Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using Toast
- Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and sales
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Process sales transactions efficiently, handle cash and credit card payments accurately, and manage cashiering duties
- Foster positive guest relations by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a focus on fine dining preferred
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Toast or similar platforms for order processing and sales transactions
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, craft cocktail preparation, and food industry standards to recommend pairings and upsell effectively
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Basic math skills for accurate check splitting, and sales transaction processing
- Experience with food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
Pay: From $16.90 per hour
