Position Overview
The Spray Foam Company is seeking a dependable and hardworking On-Call Laborer to support our spray foam insulation crews on residential, commercial, agricultural, and industrial projects. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, has a positive attitude, and is flexible with scheduling.
As an On-Call Laborer, you will assist with jobsite preparation, material handling, cleanup, equipment loading and unloading, and general labor tasks. This position offers the opportunity to learn the spray foam insulation trade and may lead to full-time employment based on performance and business needs.
Roles & ResponsibilitiesJobsite Preparation
- Prepare jobsites for spray foam installation.
- Install masking and protective coverings to prevent overspray.
- Cover windows, doors, floors, HVAC equipment, and finished surfaces.
- Set up ladders, scaffolding, and work areas safely.
- Assist with ventilation setup and jobsite containment.
Material Handling
- Load and unload spray foam equipment, chemicals, and materials.
- Move tools and equipment throughout the jobsite.
- Assist with transporting materials between the shop and project sites.
- Keep work areas organized and stocked.
Crew Support
- Assist spray foam technicians during installation.
- Hand tools and materials to installers as needed.
- Help monitor hose placement and equipment organization.
- Perform miscellaneous labor tasks assigned by the Estimator Project Manager or Crew Lead.
Shop & Equipment Maintenance
- Clean spray foam rigs, trucks, trailers, and equipment.
- Assist with shop organization and cleanliness.
- Empty trash and dispose of waste materials properly.
- Help maintain inventory of tools and supplies.
- Wash company vehicles as needed.
Cleanup
- Remove masking materials after installation.
- Vacuum and clean work areas.
- Dispose of debris and waste according to company procedures.
- Ensure jobsites are left clean and professional.
Safety
- Follow all OSHA safety regulations and company safety policies.
- Wear required PPE at all times.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
- Report safety concerns or damaged equipment immediately.
Qualifications
- Construction or general labor experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly.
- Comfortable working on ladders, scaffolding, and lifts.
- Ability to work in attics, crawlspaces, and confined spaces.
- Reliable transportation to and from the shop.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- Positive attitude with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of heavy materials.
- Standing, kneeling, bending, climbing, and crawling throughout the workday.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to wear respiratory protection and PPE when required.
Schedule
- On-call based on workload and project scheduling.
- Some early morning starts.
- Occasional overtime and weekend work may be available.
