American Traveler is hiring a travel EEG Technologist for a night shift position in a NAEC Level IV Accredited Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, requiring a minimum of 3 years of EEG experience across neonatal, pediatric, and adult populations.

Located in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) within an acute care hospital setting
-
12-bed EMU with patient ratios of 1:4 up to 1:6
-
Serves neonatal, pediatric, and adult patient populations, including critical care patients across NICU, PICU, CHSU, BMT, NVICU, MICU, and other critical care units
-
Procedures include inpatient and outpatient EEG and EP procedures, routine and STAT EEGs, and continuous video EEG monitoring
-
EEG services are provided 24/7/365, including for affiliated HCA hospitals in North Texas
-
Uses Natus Xltek EEG equipment and software
-
Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, 3x12-hour shifts per week

Rotating weekends required
-
No on-call requirement
-
Does not float to other units; may perform EEGs at an affiliated Heart & Spine hospital

Minimum of 3 years of EEG experience required, with active practice within the last 6 months
-
Proficiency in performing routine and STAT EEG procedures
-
Experience with continuous video EEG hookup and monitoring
-
Proficiency in both collodion and paste electrode application methods
-
Ability to place electrodes according to the 10/20 Electrode Measurement System
-
Experience working with neonates, pediatrics, and adults, including critical care patients
-
R. EEG T. certification obtained through ABRET is highly preferred
-
License required if applicable

SSN and DOB required for consideration

One professional reference required (two references required for candidates licensed in Florida or Missouri)

All inpatient EEGs are performed at the patient's bedside across multiple critical care units
-
Advanced skills valued include monitoring continuous video EEG with ability to identify abnormal waveforms and escalate to a physician, experience with elective EMU patients, and stereo EEG monitoring experience

Responsibilities require critical thinking, effective patient and family communication, and close collaboration with other departments and care team members

The department is ABRET accredited and the facility is a NAEC Level IV Accredited Epilepsy Center for Adults

The facility serves as a clinical site for an EEG training program

Team is a mix of seasoned and newer technologists

Ceil blue scrubs required
