Brief Description
Join our team as a Leasing Consultant and help create an exceptional experience for prospective and current residents. We’re looking for an outgoing, motivated professional who enjoys connecting with people, providing first-class customer service, and helping prospective residents find the perfect apartment home.
This dynamic role combines sales, customer service, marketing, and resident relations. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to exceeding expectations at every stage of the resident experience.
What You’ll Do
- Welcome prospective residents, learn about their housing needs, and highlight the community’s apartment homes, amenities, services, and lifestyle.
- Respond promptly to phone calls, emails, and internet leads and convert inquiries into tours and tours into leases.
- Conduct engaging community and apartment tours while delivering a personalized customer experience.
- Maintain strong knowledge of the community, available apartments, sister properties, competitors, and local market conditions.
- Accurately enter prospect information into the property management system and complete consistent follow-up.
- Process applications and prepare lease documents, move-in information, renewals, move-out requests, and other resident paperwork.
- Build positive relationships with residents and assist with questions or concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Monitor outstanding service requests and communicate with the maintenance team to help ensure timely completion.
- Assist with planning and hosting resident events.
- Support marketing initiatives designed to increase community traffic, online leads, and resident engagement.
- Regularly inspect the leasing office, tour route, model and vacant apartments, amenities, and community grounds to ensure they are clean and ready to impress.
- Assist with routine property inspections and report potential safety, maintenance, or security concerns.
- Provide general administrative support, including answering phones, managing service requests, maintaining files, and ordering office supplies.
- Support the onsite team with other community responsibilities as needed.
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- At least one year of customer service or sales experience required.
- Previous leasing, hospitality, property management, or multifamily experience preferred.
- Strong sales, communication, organization, and customer service skills.
- Friendly, professional demeanor and a genuine interest in helping others.
- Ability to follow up consistently and confidently.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, email, internet-based applications, and social media.
- Ability to learn and confidently use property management and customer relationship management software.
- Valid driver’s license, current vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation required.
- Availability to work weekends and occasional overtime based on community needs.
