Duties
- Lead engaging and age-appropriate activities that support childhood development, including arts, crafts, games, and educational lessons.
- Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management techniques to maintain a positive learning environment.
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring their safety at all times with vigilant child supervision.
- Implement first aid protocols promptly in case of minor injuries, utilizing CPR and AED operation skills when necessary.
- Collaborate with other staff members to plan and execute youth development programs that foster teamwork, leadership, and social skills.
- Support children with special education needs by adapting activities to accommodate diverse learning styles.
- Maintain clear communication with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns related to behavior or health.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in educational, childcare, camp, or youth program settings.
- Strong classroom management skills combined with a passion for youth development.
- Certified in First Aid, CPR, AED operation, and familiar with first aid protocols; additional certifications in childhood development or special education are a plus.
- Experience facilitating youth group activities or outdoor work experience is highly desirable.
- Excellent child supervision abilities paired with a caring attitude towards children's emotional and physical well-being.
- Demonstrated team leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic environment.
- Previous theater experience or experience in babysitting can enhance your ability to engage children creatively.
