Responsibilities
Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing lawns, trimming trees, pruning shrubs, and caring for gardens to ensure healthy growth and aesthetic appeal. Support the installation of hardscape features including patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other construction elements using hand tools and power tools. Help with irrigation system setup, repair, and maintenance to ensure efficient watering of landscaped areas. Operate various equipment such as excavators and snow plows when needed for seasonal tasks or large-scale projects. Perform routine landscape upkeep including lawn care, planting flowers, mulching beds, and general gardening duties. Assist with tree care activities like trimming and pruning to promote safety and healthy growth. Maintain tools and equipment in excellent condition through proper cleaning and routine checks.
Requirements
Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in landscaping are essential. Experience or interest in lawn care, landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture is highly desirable. Ability to operate landscaping equipment such as excavators or snow plows is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided if needed. Physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions, including lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods. Strong attention to safety procedures when handling machinery or working at heights on trees or hardscape structures. A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills related to landscaping, tree care, irrigation systems, and construction projects. Prior experience with landscaping or construction projects is beneficial but not required; enthusiasm for hands-on outdoor work is key.
