Tampa based equipment manufacturer looking for a Factory Engineer \ Field Engineer with a hands-on, roll up your sleeves work ethic.
You will be comfortable working in industrial equipment manufacturing, trouble-shooting and assembly environment.
We are looking for a Mechanical or Industrial engineer who likes to get their hands dirty running our process engineering equipment, identifying issues, taking components apart, fixing or replacing broken parts and then re-assembling.
The factory has up to 10 lathes and machinists, dozens of welders, assemblers in a busy steel fabrication equipment manufacturing environment.
You will work in a modern equipment manufacturing factory with large crew of experienced company employees to work alongside and learn invaluable design, fabrication, assembly and problem solving skills from.
The range of experience and knowledge that you will be exposed to will keep you coming back for more, for years to come.
Curiosity in, or desire to spend the next few years learning more about electric motors (or Hydaulics), Gear boxes, drive shafts, couplings, bushings, seals, bearings, different grades of stainless steel, polymers and high molecular weight plastics, modern surface coatings, engineering design, fabrication, equipment problem solving... all would put you in good stead.
More importantly, the above description gives you an idea of the breadth of fun things that you'll be working on in your first year and for perhaps a decade to come.
A strong mechanical inclination or a degree in Mechanical or Industrial engineering will provide a great starting point for this opportunity. Experience with CAD design won't go unnoticed.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
