Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide attentive, friendly service to enhance their dining experience
- Prepare and assemble food items efficiently following established recipes and safety standards
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process orders accurately and handle cash transactions with care
- Upsell menu items to increase sales and promote special offers or new products
- Maintain cleanliness by bussing tables, sanitizing workstations, and ensuring proper sanitation throughout the restaurant
- Assist with food safety practices including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
- Support kitchen operations by assisting with food prep, stocking supplies, and ensuring quick turnaround times
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service or quick service & fast food restaurants is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key!
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy hours
- Ability to operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS accurately
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication abilities
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and order processing
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with cashiering, serving, bussing tables, or working in a café or grocery store environment is a plus
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
