What We’re Looking For:

Compassionate and resilient team player with strong critical thinking skills

Ability to manage high-acuity patients and work collaboratively in a dynamic, specialized environment

Excellent assessment, communication, and care coordination abilities

1 year nursing experience preferred
-
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 1 year
-
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred
-
Advanced Burn Life Support (ABLS) preferred
-
Critical Care Course preferred
-
Current Louisiana RN licensure
-
American Burn Association membership encouraged/preferred
-
Knowledge of basic ECG rhythm interpretation

What You Will Do:
Coordinate and deliver comprehensive care to pediatric through elderly patients with burn injuries, including inhalation injury, electrical trauma, and chemical burns. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to manage patient assessments, wound care, education, and care transitions.

Coordinates patient assessment through collection of patient’s health data.

Analyzes patient assessments to determine nursing diagnoses and identifies expected outcomes.

Coordinates an interdisciplinary plan of care that prescribes interventions to attain expected outcomes.

Implements the interventions identified in the plan of care.

Evaluates the patient’s progress toward attainment of outcomes.

Responsible for the assessment and management of pediatric to elderly patient population with burn wounds, inhalation injury, electrical trauma and chemical burns.

Directs patient care delivery for shift/unit.
-
Performs all other duties as assigned.
