Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Assist groomers with pet handling, including bathing, drying, brushing, and styling coats to meet client specifications
- Safely restrain animals during grooming procedures to ensure their comfort and safety
- Support pet nail trimming, ear cleaning, and other grooming services under supervision
- Maintain cleanliness of grooming stations, tools, and bathing areas to uphold hygiene standards
- Communicate effectively with pet owners about grooming needs, preferences, and aftercare instructions
- Handle animals gently during grooming sessions, ensuring minimal stress and maximum comfort
- Assist with pet care tasks such as feeding, walking, and monitoring behavior in kennel or holding areas when needed
Qualifications
- Prior experience in dog handling or animal care is highly desirable; veterinary technician or assistant experience is a plus
- Knowledge of pet coat styling and grooming techniques preferred
- Familiarity with animal restraint methods and pet nail trimming procedures
- Strong communication skills for engaging with pet owners confidently and professionally
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for animal handling or equipment setup
- Experience with veterinary or veterinary technician tasks such as animal restraint or basic health monitoring is advantageous
- Passion for animal welfare and excellent customer service skills to ensure a positive client experience
