4-40 Licensed Insurance Agent / Customer Service Representative (CSR)
We are seeking a customer-focused and detail-oriented 4-40 Licensed Insurance Agent/Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join our growing insurance team. The ideal candidate has at least one year of insurance agency experience, preferably in an independent agency, and is comfortable quoting personal lines insurance with multiple carriers while delivering exceptional customer service.
This role is responsible for servicing existing clients, generating quotes, processing policy changes, and supporting agency growth through relationship building, account retention, and cross-selling opportunities.
Compensation
- $40,000–$45,000 annually, based on experience
- $2,000–$10,000+ Annual Retention Commission Opportunity
- $4,000–$10,000+ Annual New Business Commission Opportunity
Responsibilities
- Quote personal lines insurance policies, including homeowners, auto, flood, and umbrella coverage.
- Service existing client accounts and respond promptly to customer inquiries.
- Process endorsements, renewals, cancellations, and policy changes accurately and efficiently.
- Review current coverage and recommend insurance solutions based on client needs.
- Follow up on quote opportunities, referrals, and agency-generated leads.
- Cross-sell and round out existing accounts to maximize client protection.
- Maintain accurate client records and documentation within agency management systems.
- Work with multiple insurance carriers to secure competitive coverage and pricing.
- Build strong client relationships through exceptional customer service and proactive communication.
QualificationsRequired
- Active Florida 4-40 Customer Representative License.
- Minimum of one year of insurance agency experience.
- Experience quoting personal lines insurance with multiple insurance carriers.
- Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with agency management systems and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time management abilities.
Preferred
- Experience working in an independent insurance agency.
- Knowledge of multiple carrier quoting platforms.
- Strong understanding of personal lines insurance products and coverage options.
