Chittenden County Shared Living Provider Opportunity
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Shared Living Provider (SLP) in or near Chittenden County to support an individual who wishes to remain in a home setting rather than move into a care facility. A mother‑in‑law apartment or private suite is strongly preferred, though other living arrangements will be considered.
About the Individual
- Uses a power wheelchair, requiring a fully accessible home
- Needs assistance with transfers, some personal hygiene, and meal preparation
- Enjoys sports, watching TV, and being outdoors when the weather allows
- Prefers a quiet household with no young children
- Prefers no animals, but may consider a cat and/or dog if it’s the right match
- Has a fondness for Diet Coke
The Shared Living Provider must be able to work collaboratively within a team of existing supports and possess the ability to provide a safe, comfortable home environment that fosters autonomy and a Person-Centered approach to care.
Compensation consists of a tax-free Difficulty of Care stipend and a monthly taxable Room and Board payment. Respite and Community Support funds are available to support this individual through a Vermont DS Waiver.
Estimated compensation $57,000-$60,000 annually plus Respite
Pay: $57,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
