Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting gardening supplies, plants, lawn care products, and landscape materials.
- Provide knowledgeable advice on horticulture, floral design, landscape maintenance, and gardening techniques to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for sales transactions, cash handling, and receipts.
- Stock shelves efficiently, organize merchandise displays, and ensure the store is clean and well-maintained.
- Support inventory management through merchandising, stock replenishment, and inventory checks.
- Answer customer inquiries in multiple languages if applicable, demonstrating excellent communication skills.
- Assist with floral arrangements or garden setup demonstrations when needed to inspire customers’ outdoor projects.
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience preferred but not required; enthusiasm for gardening, landscaping, or horticulture is a plus.
- Knowledge of lawn care, landscape maintenance, floral design or related fields is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures ensures smooth transactions.
- Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a valuable asset.
- Organizational skills to manage stocking tasks efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail in merchandising and retail math accuracy.
